Lisa Nhu, DC, is an Upper Cervical Chiropractor who brings her passion and enthusiasm for her field to every adjustment. DISCOVERY PHASE
Dr. Nhu hired Buttonwood Creative to not only establish their visual brand direction, but to help come up with a name for her practice. We conducted significant research, and came up with 16 unique name options, from which Atlina Chiropractic was chosen.
Atlina is derived from “At-” meaning atlas (the atlas bone at the top of the next is the focus of NUCCA chiropractors), and “-lina” meaning tender and delicate.
What does that mean for the client? There is no twisting, popping, or cracking involved in what they do. They gently and specifically adjust your atlas to properly realign your head and neck to restore function and balance in your body.
The challenge in developing the brand strategy and design, was to position Atlina Chiropractic as an established practice, and one that promotes overall wellness and natural living. We wanted something unique, that would not feature curved figures or vertebra shapes, which have flooded the market.
DESIGN PHASE
I presented three brand concepts, including this option incorporating the atlas bone shape and a lotus flower.
Ultimately, the chosen brand concept featured an abstract shape representing the atlas bone combined with the letters A + L. The typestyle mirrors the sharp corners of the icon, and multiple logo variations were created.
The black, forest green and rust/tan color palette reinforces the overall wellness focus, and will stand out among chiropractors.
LAUNCH
Buttonwood Creative created a custom color palette, typeface and logo guide that works as a great foundation for their website design – and will carry Atlina Chiropractic strongly into the future as upper cervical and wellness specialists.
