refers to the velvety smooth wood of the American sycamore tree, which was often used for making wooden buttons
Not only are these trees a connection between the east and west coasts where we serve, but their distinctive peeling bark offers a great metaphor for what we do here at Buttonwood Creative Co. LISA BOND, CREATIVE DIRECTOR
As a college student, I attended the Stamps School of Art & Design at the University of Michigan, and graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design.
For the next 10 years I bounced around the country, experiencing what each region had to offer, and gathering experience at creative agencies big and small. I was able to work with amazing brands like Nike, Starbucks, Microsoft and Nintendo.
Working with nonprofits, public libraries and universities also provided me with experience helping a wide range of organizations to develop and enhance their visual brands. My branding work for Worthington Libraries was even awarded the national Library Public Relations Award in 2011.
Like many entrepreneurs, I discovered that the regular 8 to 5 didn’t work for me or my young family. In 2012, Buttonwood Creative Co. was formed in New Jersey and we haven’t looked back.
